Biogen challenged us to promote its position as the UK’s market leading Anaerobic Digestion operator by developing and search optimising an eye-catching, informative website that added value to the business and helped visitors better understand the AD process.

Designing, building and operating commercial scale anaerobic digestion (AD) plants, Biogen, is the UK’s leading AD operator, providing cost effective and sustainable food waste recycling services to local authorities.

The Challenge

With new players regularly entering the market, the AD sector is growing quickly and becoming increasingly competitive.

Biogen challenged us to make them stand out from the competition, by creating a website that was eye-catching, authoritative and informative.

It had to have clear user journeys, so that differing audiences could easily navigate the website, and be visually appealing.

We then needed to generate more traffic and enquiries by optimising the website’s long tail keyword performance in search engine results pages.

The Work

We responded by designing an award-winning website that used a striking array of illustrations and images to support key Biogen’s key marketing messages, thereby underscoring its sector-leading position in an aesthetically pleasing way.

User personas where analysised and relevent journeys devised and clearly signposted, so as to  deliver key information quickly and easily. Website traffic and enquiries were increased by executing an aggressive SEO campaign that: optimised keyword usage, increased relevant high quality back links and maximised the benefit social signals.
