Get that #IDFestiveFeeling and Help MKs’ Homeless this Christmas

With Milton Keynes recently dubbed as a ‘Tent Town’, due to the overwhelming number of homeless people setting up camp here, and statistics revealing that one in every 110 people in MK are now homeless, Interdirect would like to give a little something back to help the homeless people in our community this Christmas.

Continuing our efforts from the 25 mile walk back in September, which raised more than £6,000 for the new homelessness ‘City Fund’, we are pledging to raise more money to help tackle homelessness in our city. This Christmas we are supporting the Milton Keynes Winter Night Shelter, who work hard to protect homeless people at the time of year when they are most vulnerable. With your help we want to give at least 50 homeless people in Milton Keynes a safe and warm bed for the night and a hot meal this winter.

We’re asking all of our friends, clients and suppliers to give up one of their little Christmas treats over the festive period, and to instead donate the money to Milton Keynes Winter Night Shelter, to help spread the Christmas spirit to those who have lost it. It doesn’t need to be much, but by sacrificing just one eggnog latte, turkey sandwich or glass of fizz, you can make a difference to a homeless person this Christmas.

If you want to give someone that #IDFestiveFeeling, simply:

1. Donate the cost of your Christmas treat to our JustGiving page

2. Let us know what you have given up by taking a snap and sharing it on social media using #IDFestiveFeeling - download the sign here

3. For every photo posted on social media, using the dedicated hashtag, Interdirect will match the money donated

Thank you to everyone who has taken part and a Merry Christmas to all!
