The Parks Trust RWC Guide

The Parks Trust challenged Interdirect to create an events guide for the whole 2015 Rugby World Cup sporting period.

The Parks Trust is an independent charity that cares for and maintains many parks and green spaces throughout Milton Keynes. The trust also organises hundreds of community events, and provides environmental education programmes for schools.

The Challenge

With three Rugby World Cup matches over six days, Milton Keynes was preparing to take centre stage to host one of the biggest sporting events in the world. The Parks Trust challenged Interdirect to create an events guide for the whole 2015 Rugby World Cup sporting period.

The Work

A compact Rugby World Cup pocket guide was created which allowed both residents and visitors to Milton Keynes to carry the event guide around with them. It contained information on all matches, supporting events and activities in and around the area. It also included local advertising opportunities.

The strong and vibrant design was created to capture the excitement of the sporting event. It was imperative the Rugby World Cup brand guidelines were strictly adhered to, but also incorporated Milton Keynes’s brand logo.

100,000 copies were printed and distributed in and around the Milton Keynes area being seen by people visiting Milton Keynes from far and wide.

The Difference

The event guide boosted brand awareness for The Parks Trust and made the charity recognisable for its work in events and not just for conservation in Milton Keynes.
