Interdirect Barges its Way up the Grand Union Canal
It was “All aboard!” this month for Interdirect’s annual team boat trip, where everyone was given the opportunity to dress up in military garb and enjoy the miraculous September sunshine.
The level of effort which went into fancy dress this year was particularly impressive with team members dressing up as commando’s and sailors, complete with hats, toy guns and face paint!
There was barely enough room this year to fit ID’s growing team in the barges but the glorious weather enabled everyone to spill out on to the banks and enjoy the surroundings with a drink in hand. Fortunately this - coupled with the army commando fancy dress - seemed to spur more people than usual into manning the many locks up and down the canal!
All in all it was a great day and the perfect way to celebrate the end of another successful year. A year which could not have happened without the dedication, enthusiasm and hard work of the ID team, both old and new.
