Slinkachu's Little People

Slinkachu small figurines in a puddle with a trainer

Interdirect loves these funny but poignant figurine installations from street artist Slinkachu.

Slinkachu started his “Little People Project” in 2006 when he began remodelling and painting train set figurines which he placed around the melancholy streets of the big city.

Much of his work is filled with humour but behind it there is always a reference to the loneliness of a city and how easy it is to be forgotten just like the rubbish on the street which his little figurines seek refuge in.

Record Breaking Gigapixel of the Strahov Library

Starhov Library

Interdirect loves this record breaking gigapixel panorama of the Strahov Library in Prague - another great example of how the wonders of the world can be experienced online.

This image of the beautiful Library in Prague is created from 3,000 individual photos stitched together into a single image that is 280,000 x 140,000 pixels. The photo has broken the indoor world record for the largest ever photo - if you printed out the photo it would be 23 meters long!

You can move around the image studying everything from the text of the spines of the ancient books to the elegant fresco on the ceiling and the gilt carving around the bookshelves.

360cities.net shows the world’s most treasured cities and landmarks in 360 degrees, taken by the panoramic photo community and continues to offer an alternative perspective on the world.  The picture of Paris and the panoramic view of Prague (the largest ever outdoor photograph) are worth a peek too.

Le Freak C'est Chique- Paris in 26 Gigapixels

Panoramic view of Paris

Paris 26 Gigapixels is a stitching of 2346 single images to make this high-res panoramic view of Paris.

It’s awesome ... although you do get some dodgy French music!
