Interdirect Spends £85,000 on Upgrades to Hosting Facilities
Managing the safety, security and availability of our clients’ data is one of Interdirect’s most important responsibilities; so much so it is the centre of our world, which is why we have invested in £85,000 worth of upgrades to our hosting facilities.
This investment includes a set of Dell R900 PowerEdge servers (the most powerful in their range), which are specifically designed for high-end server virtualisation. At the core of our new hosting platform, we are deploying Marathon Technologies’ award winning EverRun software which provides a real-time failover solution between sets of load-balanced servers.
These technologies are already being used by the New York Stock Exchange, Audi, Ticketmaster and Caesars Palace and will ensure that Interdirect’s systems will be similarly able to withstand multiple critical hardware failures yet continue to function normally without any service interruption.
Our hosting services are almost exclusively reserved for those clients whom we have developed systems for, and therefore the reliability of these systems is paramount to our business model. We believe that this sophisticated fault tolerant solution will put us head and shoulders above the majority of web and system hosts currently in the U.K. and will enable us to continue to service our clients above and beyond their expectations.
