Lakeside iPhone App

Interdirect designed and developed a bespoke iPhone application for Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex.

 

The Brief 

Lakeside is part of Capital Shopping Centres Group PLC (CSC), the leading specialist developer, owner and manager of pre-eminent UK regional shopping centres.

Interdirect has worked with CSC to develop and host a variety of web-based solutions for its centres, including Lakeside. When it came to choosing an agency to design and develop its mobile applications, CSC asked Interdirect to come up with an app that would position Lakeside shopping centre as a leader in mobile technologies, and could be used by shoppers on a daily basis.

 

The Solution

Interdirect’s solution for the Lakeside app was to extend the look, feel and functionality of the centre’s website, allowing for ease of input for centre management, and increased usability for shoppers that download it. 

Interdirect extended its advanced content management system (CMS), SiteMachine, to replicate the bespoke control modules available to the centre management team within the app itself.

 

The Result

Interdirect developed a bespoke app, which includes features that enhance the shopping, dining, and leisure experience at Lakeside.

The app allows shoppers to easily access all the information they need about Lakeside, including opening hours, store and restaurant locations, Lakeside Personal Shopper information, the latest offers and information about events in and around the centre.

Push Notifications allow Lakeside to send targeted messages to all shoppers that have downloaded the app, instantly and effectively direct to the palm of their hand.
