A Night at the Orchestra

Interdirect had a wonderful time on Sunday night rounding off the beautifully balmy weekend with a performance from the Milton Keynes City Orchestra in aid of the OU’s 40th Anniversary.

As fervent supporters of all things MK and sponsors of the Orchestra we were delighted to be able to share in the celebrations and enjoy a few delicious snacks and glasses of wine before the evening’s entertainment. The first half included a performance of Wilcocks rather haunting “In the Beginning”, then, after some brief refreshments, we were treated to Beethoven Symphony no.9, Op.125 accompanied by the Open University’s dedicated choir. Aside from being dazzled by the ability of all those in the choir to master Beethoven in the brief stolen moments they had left after work, we were also reminded how lucky we were to have such a talented orchestra and beautiful theatre at our disposal.

Without doubt the perfect way to unwind after a weekend of heavy lifting and a triumphant end to the Orchestra’s season.
